Wins Final Game of Season, 41 - 6

The Panthers kicked off and
Dakaney returned to the 25-yard line. The Wildcats were not able to gain a 1st
down and were forced to punt. #7 Cory Abron returned the punt 12 yards to the
Dakaney 45. #3 Kerry Harris got all the carries this first series. He had runs
of 12, 17, 5,and 4 yards. On 3rd down from the 8yard line, #10 Kenny
Stover threw to over the middle into the end zone. The ball was tipped but #11
Alfred Baratti gathered it in for the touchdown. The PAT was good for a 7-0
lead.
The Wildcats returned the kickoff
to the 23. Again Dakaney was forced to punt on 4th down. It was a
short kick of only 22 yards. From the Wildcat 45, #21 Le’mon Ford carried for
4 yards, Harris got another 2 yards then Stover threw to Abron for 6 yards and
the 1st down. Stover threw to Baratti who was stopped at the 17yard
line. Then Stover threw to #14 Charles Musslewhite for 5 yards. #21 Ford ran
the next 2 plays and found the end zone for the score. After adding the PAT,
the Panthers increased their lead to 14-0.
#2 Carl Smith made the tackle on
the kickoff at the Dakaney 24. The 1st quarter ended with the
Wildcats at their 40-yard line. Later the Wildcats had to punt. The kick was
downed at the KO 32, from there; Harris had runs of 10, 7, and 6yards. Stover
passed to Abron for 22 yards down to the 20. Stover again threw to Abron who
put on some moves and weaved his way into the end zone. The PAT failed. Score
20-0.
#22 Blaine Robertson made the
tackle on the kickoff. Dakaney again was forced to punt. Abron returned the
ball 25 yards to the Dakaney 41. On 1st down Harris had a long run
called back due to a holding penalty. He was also injured on the play. Ford
came in for Harris and on 3rd down; he broke through the middle and
scampered 31 yards for the TD. PAT good. Score 27-0.
#14 Charles Musslewhite got the
tackle on the kickoff. On 1st down the Wildcats made a long pass
play to the KO 14 yard line. On 4th down, #24 Javaughn Baltrip broke
up a pass in the end zone. The Panthers were able to move the ball out to
midfield before having to punt. The 1st half ended shortly
thereafter.
#45 Andrew Reisdorf made a good
play catching a line drive kickoff at the KO 48. On 2nd down Stover
threw to Musslewhite out to the Dakaney 35. Stover ran for a 1st
down and Ford ran for 16 yards to the Wildcat 9. Ford then ran the ball into
the end zone making the score, after the PAT 34-0.
The Wildcats returned the kickoff
to the 45. After a couple of long plays moving the ball down to the Panther 6
yard line, the Panther defense stiffened up and turned the Wildcats away. KO
took over at the 2. #20 Ed Germany ran for 14 yards. Then from the 18 Germany
cut behind a solid “kick out” block made by #65 Isaac Johnson and ran for his
life. Germany took the ball al the way to “pay dirt”. PAT good for a score of
41-0.
Dakaney got the kickoff at the 26
and then had to punt on 4th down. Musslewhite returned the ball 10
yards. On 2nd down the Panthers fumbled and a Dakaney player picked
up the ball and ran it into the end zone for a score. The PAT failed. Score
41-6.
#23 Tim Chirdo picked up the
onsides kick and paid for it by taking a ferocious hit at the KO 45. #5
Jerimias Andrade ran for 5 yards then Musslewhite ran for 8 yards. With time
beginning to run out, a couple linemen got to carry the ball. Those players
were #70 Randy Noble and #73 Peter Farrell. The final score was KO 41 DHS 6.
